The way in which a dish is cooked – by steaming, boiling, shallow-frying, deep-frying, microwaving, sautéing, stir-frying, baking, etc. – is called the cooking method. There is a traditional way of cooking each dish, but sometimes different methods can also be used to make the same dish. This might give the same results or give a different taste and texture. Sometimes, the cooking method might also be changed to make the dish healthier for somebody with diet restrictions. For example, if somebody has cholesterol or is trying to reduce weight, then you can bake sev in contrast to the usual method of deep-frying it.
