Ingredients

To Be Mixed Together For The Stuffing:
1 cup desiccated coconut
1 tbsp ginger-green chilli paste
1 tbsp powdered sugar
2 tbsp chopped cashewnuts (kaju)
1 tbsp raisins (kismis)
1 tbsp poppy seeds (khus-khus)
salt to taste

For The Outer Covering
1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
salt to taste
1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
1/2 cup bread crumbs
cornflour

Other Ingredients
oil for deep frying

  1. Mix all the above ingredients thoroughly in a bowl and keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Now make balls of lemon size of the potato mixture and flatten on your palm.
  2. Place 1-2 tsp of the stuffing prepared and cover from all the sides to seal well.
  3. Similarly repeat to make more buffvadas.
  4. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry these vadas till they turn golden brown.
  5. Aerve hot with phudina chutney or tomato ketchup.

In faral actually we dont use corn flour and bread crumbs. What i can use instead for making baff vadas crisp.
