Chopped Mint Leaves Recipes, Indian chopped pudina vegetarian recipes. Mint is the common name for the plant Mentha. The plant lives throughout the year and gives the bright green leaves.  These mint leaves have a certain bright freshness about them which makes them extremely unique in taste. The fresh mint leaves are preferred over the dried leaves when it comes to cooking.

Indian Chopped Mint Recipes

Because of its taste, mint is considered a very unique herb. The presence of mint is felt in all almost all aspects of Indian Cuisine – in snacks, drinks, street food and rice preparations.

Lukhmi – This is a Hyderabadi version of a Samosa. Even though it is usually non-vegetarian, a veg option can be easily made with a stuffing of potatoes, paneer and mint leaves.

Pudina Lassi – A refreshing drink made with thick yogurt usually served with Punjabi food. This drink is mixed with sugar, jeera and mint for a unique taste.

Pudina PaniPani puri is an Indian street food where fried semolina puris are filled with a moong-aloo stuffing and dunked in deliciously fresh and spicy pudina water.

 

The pudina paani is addictive in itself because of the spice powders that add flavor to it.

Hyderabadi Biryani – This delectable rice dish is layered with a curry and chopped mint leaves which is what gives this a special taste. Even though native to Hyderabad, it is now growing in popularity and served all across India.
