Avocado Veggie Green Wraps recipe - How to make Avocado Veggie Green Wraps

Ingredients

For The Spread
3/4 cup ripe avocado pulp
salt to taste
1 tsp mustard (rai/ sarson) sauce
1 finely chopped green chillies
1 grated carrot
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1/2 tsp achaar masala

Other Ingredients
chopped lettuce
sliced onion
sliced tomato
sliced cucumber
salt and freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) for sprinkling

For The Rotis
1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
1/4 cup spinach (palak) puree
salt to taste
1 tsp ginger-green chilli paste
1 tsp garlic (lehsun) paste
water to bind the dough
oil for cooking
Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, mix well, divide into 4 equal portions and keep aside.

For the rotis

  1. Combine the flour, salt, ginger-green chilli paste, garlic paste in a bowl and add enough spinach puree knead to a medium soft dough.
  2. Divide into 4 equal portions and roll out each portion of the dough into a thin circle of 250 mm. (10”) diameter using a little flour.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the on both rotis sides using a little oil.

  1. Place a roti on a clean dry surface and spread a portion of the prepared spread evenly over the roti.
  2. Arrange the lettuce leaves, onion slices, tomato slices, cucumber slices in the centre of the roti and sprinkle some salt and pepper over it and roll it up tightly.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make 3 more wraps and serve immediately.
