1. A Refreshing Mountain-Style Flavour Bomb

The Pahadi Paneer Tikka Wrap is a delightful Indian fusion snack that brings the fresh, herby flavours of the mountains straight into a soft roti. The highlight of this wrap is its Pahadi-style marinade, made using mint, coriander, hung curd, green chillies, cumin, and a touch of fresh cream for richness. This combination gives the paneer a cool, refreshing, and mildly spicy flavour profile, typical of Himalayan cuisine. The marinade clings beautifully to the paneer, turning each bite into a burst of freshness, creaminess, and spice.

2. The Magic of the Pahadi Marinade

The secret behind the unique taste of the Mint Paneer Tikka Roll lies in its vibrant, aromatic marinade. A smooth blend of mint leaves, coriander, hung curd, cumin, lemon juice, and green chillies forms the base, creating a bright green coating that is both tangy and herbaceous. Adding fresh cream ensures a silky texture, while cornflour helps the marinade cling to the paneer during roasting. This combination gives the tikkas a firm yet soft outer layer and an irresistibly smoky, earthy flavour once grilled.

3. Perfectly Grilled Paneer Tikkas

The paneer tikkas are the star of the wrap—juicy, soft, and perfectly grilled on a non-stick tava. Paneer cubes are alternated with capsicum and onion cubes on satay sticks, allowing the vegetables to roast together and soak up the flavours of the marinade. As the tikkas cook, the mint-coriander layer forms a beautiful crust while keeping the paneer moist inside. The charred edges, mild smokiness, and herby freshness make these Pahadi paneer tikkas perfect not only for wraps but also as a standalone appetizer.

4. Layers of Crunch, Creaminess & Spice

What makes the Pahadi Paneer Frankie so addictive is the thoughtful layering of textures. A soft roti is spread lightly with garlic mayonnaise, adding a creamy, garlicky undertone. A crunchy mix of shredded cabbage and grated carrotsits below the paneer tikkas, giving every bite a fresh crunch. Onion rings add sharpness, and a sprinkle of chaat masalalifts the flavours instantly with a tangy, spicy punch. Together, these elements create a wrap that is balanced, vibrant, and full of contrasting textures.

5. A Perfect Indo-Fusion Street-Style Meal

This Indian grilled paneer wrap is inspired by global street-food rolls yet remains authentically Indian in flavour. The combination of grilled tikkas, fresh veggies, and a soft roti forms a wholesome meal that is satisfying yet not too heavy. It works wonderfully as a lunch box meal, travel snack, party starter, or even a weekend dinner. The refreshing Pahadi marinade sets it apart from regular tikka wraps, offering a cool twist to traditional paneer rolls.

6. Customizable, Wholesome & Crowd-Pleasing

The Mint Paneer Tikka Roll is not just delicious—it can be easily customised to suit different tastes. For a healthier version, you can use whole wheat rotis, replace mayonnaise with hung curd garlic dip, or add more fresh vegetables like lettuce or cucumbers. For spice lovers, an extra drizzle of mint chutney or chilli flakes works beautifully. Whether served immediately off the tawa or packed in a foil wrap, this dish remains flavourful, vibrant, and utterly irresistibleevery time.

Love this Paneer dish. Paneer, capsicum, onions and potatoes dunked in a rich curd based, mint flavoured marinade makes a delicious meal. Healthy and easy to make.

I skipped adding cream, but followed everything in the recipe and it was yum! Don''t skip adding jeera/cumin, it lends an amazing smoky flavor to the marinade. You can serve the leftover marinade as a dip too!
