Grapefruit and Green Apple Salad
Reviewed October 19, 2015by n_katira

Two fibre and low glycemic index ingredients tossed in together to make this heart-friendly salad. I loved the crunch of walnuts with it and the pepper brings out the flavour of grapefruit very well. Worth a try!!

Mini Baked Moong Dal and Jowar Puri
Reviewed October 19, 2015by n_katira

I always thought making a delectable dish with less salt is more difficult than with less or no sugar. But this proved me wrong... I served these puris to my father who is a diabetic hypertensive and he loved them. I make these puris quite often from him now.

Carrot and Bell Pepper Soup
Reviewed October 19, 2015by n_katira

I love capsicum in any form... and in this soup the use of coloured capscium with tomatoes and carrot gives it an eye cateching colour... the herbs and chilli flakes give this soup an Oriental touch and perk up the flavour further.

Pineapple and Muskmelon Drink

Too soothing and cooling. The flavours of both the fruits blend well with coconut to make this refreshing drink. I love to sip on this drink in the evening after work.

Cabbage and Moong Dal Salad
Reviewed October 16, 2015by n_katira

A different type of salad with a hint of Indian tempering. Cabbage and moong dal pair well to make this healthy delicacy which can be had as a salad or even as an evening snack.

Spicy Sprouts Pulao
Reviewed October 16, 2015by n_katira

A good way to sneak in sprouts in our diet... with the use of brown rice this delicacy has been made healthy. Have this masaledar rice with a bowl of low-fat curds and a bowl of salad for a satiating meal.

Mint Drink

I made this for my sis-in-law who suffers from acidity quite often and she really felt relieved. This remedy really works. do try it... the mint leaves a very flavourful after taste in the mouth.

Baked Nachni Sev
Reviewed October 16, 2015by n_katira

Nachni sev and that too baked? So benefit from the iron and calcium from nachni without the fat. I made a chaat out of this sev... add chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander, little salt and chaat masala and all my family members enjoyed it.

Mixed Til Chikki
Reviewed October 16, 2015by n_katira

This black and white mixed til chikki looks quiet tempting. I can finish 5 pieces in no time... Loved the addition of almonds also to it. What''s more healthy in this recipe is the addition of jaggery than sugar.

Lettuce and Bean Sprouts Salad in Lemon Dressing
Reviewed October 16, 2015by n_katira

All crunchy veggies with different flavours tossed together to make a healthy bowlful. The basic olive oil and lemon juice dressing really enhances the flavour further. worth a try as a no cooking, toss n mix salad.

Karela Thepla
Reviewed October 16, 2015by n_katira

Had thought the bitter taste of Karela would really dominate, but it wasn''t so... With a bowl of curds, they were quite palatable. Good recipe for diabetics.

Bhatura ( Yeast-free Recipe)
Reviewed October 15, 2015by n_katira

Soft, succulent bhaturas..truly restaurant style! I think the curds and the butter is what gives softness to these bhaturas. Try http://www.tarladalal.com/Chole-2182r with these Bhaturas, it pairs really well.
