What is mag ni dal made off? Gujarati mag ni chutti dal is made from 1 cup yellow moong dal (split yellow gram), 2 teaspoons oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera), 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing), 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi), 2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania), 1/2 tsp lemon juice, a pinch of sugar and salt to taste.
