For hare chane ki chaat- To make hare chane ki chaat, heat the butter in a non-stick pan, add the hara chana, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the chaat masala, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the green chillies and salt to taste, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Top it with coriander, onion, tomatoes, green chillies, lemon juice, sev , crushed papdis and a pinch of black salt and toss well.
- Serve the hare chane ki chaat immediately.

what is hare chane ki chaat made of? is made from 2 cups hara chana (green chick peas) , soaked and boiled, 2 tbsp butter, salt to taste, 1 tbsp chaat masala, 1/2 tsp finely chopped green chillies, 4 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania), 4 tbsp finely chopped onions, 4 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies, 2 tsp lemon juice, 4 tbsp sev, 4 tbsp crushed papdi and 1/4 tsp black salt (sanchal). For the hare chane ki chaat first buy good quality chana. Choose uniformly-sized and nice green coloured chana, devoid of white or dark spots and holes.

Wash them and add enough water for soaking.

Cover with a lid and keep aside. You need to soak these chana for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Next day, drain the hara chana using a strainer.

Transfer the hara chana into a pressure cooker.

Add more water for cooking green chickpeas for hare chane ki chaat.

Close the lid of the pressure cooker and allow them to cook for 4 whistles.

Allow the pressure cooker to cool down and then open the lid. This is how the hara chana looks after cooking. They should be perfectly cooked to be able to feel the bite, and not overcooked or mushy.

Again drain the excess water using a strainer. Keep the cooked green chickpeas aside.

Soaked and boiled hara chana (green chick peas) are ready for hare chane ki chaat.

Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a non-stick pan.

Add 2 cups hara chana (green chick peas) , soaked and boiled. See above on how to soak and cook hara chana.

Sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.

Add 1 tbsp chaat masala.

Mix well.

Sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.

Add 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies.

Add salt to taste. We added 1/4 tsp salt. Note we have added last salt as later we are adding chaat masala.

Mix well.

Cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.

To serve hare chane ki chaat | Indian chana chaat street food | green chickpea chaat | add 4 tbsp coriander to the cooked chaat.

Add 4 tbsp finely chopped onions.

Add 4 tbsp finely chopped tomatoes.

Add 1 tsp finely chopped green chillies.

Add 4 tbsp sev.

Add 4 tbsp crushed papdi.
