Green and Gold Pancake

Green and gold sounds interesting combination right? it is a pancake made from plain flour with the combination of cocoa powder and stuffed with green and gold kiwifruit; this pancake is ideal for breakfast and can be served as desert too. So what you are waiting for?? try this yummy pancake for your family as well as friends.
For syrup- Combine the plain flour with 2-3 tsp of water, mix well and keep aside.
- Heat 3 tsp of water in a non-stick pan and add brown sugar and mix well till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the butter, cinnamon powder, salt and plain flour mixture, mix well and cook while stirring continuously, till it becomes thick.
- Keep aside and allow to cool.
For the pancake- Combine the plain flour, corn flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, fruit salt and butter in a bowl and mix well.
- Add the milk gradually to make smooth and thick batter, mix it well so that no lump remains.
- Grease a non stick tava with little butter, and spread a portion of the batter to make a thick pancake.
- Apply little butter on top and smear a little butter along the sides, press lightly and cook till it becomes little brown from both the sides.
- Prepare the other pancakes repeating the steps using the batter.
How to proceed- Place one pancake on a flat dry plate.
- Pour 3-4 tsp of prepared syrup on it.
- Spread a portion of the smashed green kiwifruit along the corners of pancake.
- Spread 2-3 tsp gold kiwifruit at the center.
- Cover with another pancake and press lightly.
- Pour 3-4 tsp prepared syrup.
- Again put smashed green kiwifruit along the corners of pancake and put 2-3 tsp gold kiwifruit in center.
- Cover with the third pancake, press lightly.
- Again put smashed green kiwifruit along the corners of pancake and put 2-3 tsp gold kiwifruit in center.
- Cover with the fourth pancake, press lightly.
- Apply 2-3 tsp of prepared syrup and garnish the same arranging kiwifruit slices and whipped cream and cherry.
- Serve
Handy tip- You can prepare the syrup well in advance; it can be stored for 10-12 days.
- Instead of cinnamon powder you can add orange essence or vanilla essence.
- Instead of four layers you can reduce the layer to two or three also.
- The pancakes may be of any size, and it can be thick or thin as per your choice, but will be better if it is little thick.
