Cut the threads off the end of the hara lehsun and discard them.

Place the hara lehsun on a chopping board and chop the hara lehsun finely using a sharp knife. We will use the fresh green garlic for the chutney recipe below.

In a broad non-stick pan, take 1 tbsp. of chana dal (daria).

Roast them on a medium flame for 2 minutes or till they are light brown in colour. Keep aside.
