Chopped Vegetarian Parsley Recipes
Parsley is a very popular herb around the world because of its unique taste and inviting aroma! The name parsley is derived from a Greek work that means ‘rock celery. Chopped parsley is a popular garnish for soups, pastas and other dishes not only because it gives a great taste but also because it adds to the aesthetic appeal to the dish.
It was really hard to find in India a while ago, but now it is commonly available. To store parlsey remove the wilted leaves, if any. Air it on a kitchen towel for a few minutes and then store in the refrigerator in a plastic bag. There are many types of dishes which can be made with parsley like snacks, juices, sandwiches and pastas among many others.
Italian Recipes using Chopped Parsley
Parsley is being used in Italian food for a long time now. The curly parsley is usually used as a garnish while the flat leafed parsley is used to flavor the dishes.
Creamy Herb Pasta – This pasta has an irresistible taste, a luscious mouth-feel and is rich in calcium too. Here we use whole wheat pasta that is cooked in a cream sauce flavored with two different herbs: basil and parsley.

Risotto Fiorentina – Originated in Florence, this creamy vegetable risotto is cooked in a vegetable broth and garnished with parsley for its distinct flavor.
Mushrooms baked with herbs – baking the mushrooms inside aluminum foil packs the flavor of the herbs in the mushrooms and gives it the unique texture and flavour.

Parsley Hummus – The original garlic hummus is given an herby twist with the addition of parsley. Not only does it give a very earthy taste, but also lends a bright green color to the hummus.
Falafel, Lebanese Falafel Stuffed in Pita Bread
Falafel – One of the most popular dish of the Lebanese cuisine, falafel is a dish comprised of tiny fried bullets served inside warm pita breads and salad. One of the main ingredients in these fried chickpea bullets is parsley, which adds to the wonderful taste.
Lemon Couscous with Vegetable Moroccan Curry – couscous is widely used in Moroccan food. It tastes absolutely delicious when served with a curry laced with cinnamon, dried ginger, parsley and other vegetables.
