Thai Pizza recipe - How to make Thai Pizza

Ingredients
2 thin crust pizza base [175 mm. (7")

For The Peanut Pizza Sauce
2 tbsp peanut butter
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 tsp soy sauce

For The Mushroom Topping
2 cups sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
1 tbsp oil
2 tsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
2 tsp sesame seeds (til)
2 cups sliced spring onions (whites and greens)
1/4 cup sliced celery (ajmoda)
1/4 cup sliced red capsicum
1/4 cup sliced green capsicum
2 tsp soy sauce
salt and to taste
1/4 cup paneer (cottage cheese) cubes or tofu ( bean curd / soya paneer) cubes
Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring continuously. Keep aside.

  1. Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and sesame seeds and saute on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
  2. Add the mushrooms and saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the spring onions, celery, red capsicum, green capsicum, soya sauce, salt and pepper powde, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes or till the mixture turns dry, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the paneer, mix gently and cook on a medium flame for 1 more minute. , while stirring once in between.
  5. Divide the topping into 2 equal portions and keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Place a pizza base on a clean, dry surface and spread ½ of the peanut pizza sauce evenly over it.
  2. Arrange 1 portion of the mushroom topping evenly over it.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make 1 more pizza.
  4. Place both the pizzas on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 10 to 12 minutes or till the base is evenly browned.
  5. Cut into equal wedges and serve immediately.
