Dabeli is an Indian snack made by stuffing seasoned potatoes with chutney, onions, sev, peanuts and pomegranate in buttered pav and toasting it to a golden brown color.
Recipe Description for Dabeli Brushetta
- To make {span class="bold1"}dabeli brushetta{/span}, heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan. Add the dabeli masala, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the potatoes, coriander, lemon juice, salt and ½ cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside.
- Apply 1 tsp butter on each bread slice and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºc (360ºf) for 15 minutes or till crisp. Keep aside.
- Place a toasted bread on a clean, dry surface. Spread ¼ tsp garlic chutney and spread it evenly.
- Apply ½ tsp green chutney evenly over it.
- Put 1 tbsp of the prepared potato stuffing evenly over it.
- Top it with ½ tsp sweet chutney.
- Finally put 1 tsp sev, 1 tsp pomegranate seeds, 1 tsp masala peanuts and ½ tsp finely chopped coriander evenly over it.
- Repeat steps 4 to 8 to make 17 more {span class="bold1"}dabeli brushettas{/span}.
- Serve the {span class="bold1"}dabeli brushetta{/span} immediately.
