Would like to make your carrot soup. But as I am new to cooking with a pressure pot (Prestige 5,5 l, stainless steel), I am still quite insecure when using it. Now, I am wondering, if the 1/4 cup of water (together with the 2 cups of carrots, 1/2 cup of onions and 1tblsp of dal, as stated in you recipe) is enough liquid for my 5,5 l pot? Is my pot maybe too large to follow this recipe? Should I increase the amount of water to a total of 1 cup? Please advise. Thank you

Tarla Dalal    You can cook in 5.5 L pressure cooker. All you need to do is to add the ingredients in a steel container, cover it with a lid and proceed as per the recipe.

Hi! Just wondering if this soup is good to freeze? I have a friend preparing for radiation and want to have some soups prepared for her and this one looks delicious!

Tarla Dalal    Fresh soups are best suggested from a health point of view. However, if there is no option you can freeze and reheat it before use.
