For sabji dewa musur dal- To make sabji dewa musur dal, soak the masoor dal in enough water for 1 hour. Drain and keep aside.
- In a pressure cooker, combine the soaked masoor dal, slit green chilies, turmeric powder, salt and 2 cups of water, mix well and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Whisk it well and keep aside.
- Heat the mustard oil in a deep pan, add the cumin seeds and dry kashmiri red chilies and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds.
- Add the onions and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the cumin seeds powder, coriander powder, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the cooked whisked dal, mixed vegetables, salt and ½ cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve sabji dewa musur dal hot garnished with coriander.
