4 cups chopped ladies finger (bhindi), 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera), 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing), 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi), 2 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder, 1 tsp chilli powder, 2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania) and salt to taste. This is bhindi, also called as ladies finger, available throughout the year.

Wash it well in a strainer using water.

Dry it with a dry cloth. Make sure it is not wet.

Make sure the bhindi are totally dry by wipping them well.

Take a chopping board and chop them using a sharp knife. Do not finely chop it.
