Ingredients
1 1/2 tbsp butter
4 leftover bread slices
2 tbsp muesli
2 tbsp brown sugar

For The Chocolate Sauce
2 tbsp grated chocolate
2 tbsp fresh cream

To Be Mixed Together For The Custard
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup fresh cream
1 tbsp cornflour
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp raisins (kismis)

  1. Combine the chocolate and cream in a small pan and heat till the chocolate melts. Keep aside.

  1. Grease a 2" x 5" x 7" (50 mm x 125 mm x 175 mm) baking dish with ¼ tbsp of butter and keep aside.
  2. Apply the remaining butter on both sides of the bread slices and then a layer of chocolate sauce on one side. Cut each slice into 2, diagonally and keep aside.
  3. Arrange the bread slices on the base of the greased baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle the muesli on top of the bread slices.
  5. Pour the custard mixture gently on top of the slices.
  6. Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the bread slices and keep the dish aside for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the bread to soak in the custard.
  7. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºc (350ºf) for 10 to 15 minutes, till the custard sets.
  8. Remove from the oven and keep it aside for 10 to 15 minutes.
  9. Serve warm.

This is an innovative and lovely recipe. Loved the muesli and chocolate sauce combo and the custard flavour with vanilla essence.
