I liked the recipe very much. However, it may be worth making a few changes. For the tart pastry, the recipe does not explicitly mention required amount of water can be used. I was wondering if like shortcrust pastry, this will need next to no water but that's not possible with just two teaspoons of butter. Also, I needed quarter cup extra milk for custard to fill the tarts although I made pastry using 3/4 cup flour as per recipe

i like the eggless version of the famous pudding. I chose to add custard powder instead of cornflour to add more flavour. i also reduced the sugar and it still tasted great. my version is here http://www.tastefullyveggie.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/bread-and-butter-pudding-eggless-and.html
