Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups paneer (cottage cheese) cubes
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp mustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onion
- 2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced capsicum
- salt to taste
- 1 cup fresh tomato pulp
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- rasgullas , cut into halves
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped coriander (dhania)
- 1 tsp dried mango powder (amchur)
Method
- Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds and asafetida.
- When the seeds crackle, add the onions and ginger-garlic paste and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the capsicum and salt, mix well, cover with a lid and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the tomato pulp, chilli powder, garam masala and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Add the paneer cubes, mix gently and cook on medium flame for 4 minutes ,while stirring occasionally.
- Add the coriander and dried mango powder, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Serve hot.
