To boil potatoes in microwave, take 2 medium sized potatoes and place them on the microwave turntable. Remember not to peel them. In the centre of the turntable, place a glass of water. This is to avoid the potatoes from being wrinkled. Microwave them in HIGH for about 7 minutes. You can turn the potatoes once or twice in between for uniform cooking. Remove aloo from microwave, peel and use them. You can chop them, grate them or mash them as per the recipe.
If you don’t want to keep the glass of water, to steam potatoes in microwave, you can also prick the potatoes with a sharp knife at intervals. Then place them in the microwave and cook.
