For hariyali dum aloo- To make hariyali dum aloo recipe, in a mixer add coriander, spinach, garlic, ginger, green chillies, curd and blend it into a smooth paste.
- In a deep pan, heat oil and fry the baby potatoes till golden brown, add turmeric powder, chilli powder and mix well. Remove and keep aside.
- In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp oil, add bayleaf, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, onions and sauté on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the green masala paste, fried baby potatoes, fresh cream, kasuri methi, salt to taste and ½ cup of hot water.
- Mix well and cook on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
- Serve hariyali dum aloo hot with rice or roti of your choice.

hariyali dum aloo recipe | potatoes in spinach coriander gravy | green masala dum aloo | is made using easily available ingredients in India: 2 cups boiled and peeled baby potatoes, ½ cup blanched spinach, ½ cup coriander, 2 tbsp roughly chopped garlic, 1 tsp roughly chopped ginger, 1 tbsp roughly chopped green chilies, ¼ cup curd, 2 tbsp oil, 1 small cinnamon stick, 1 bayleaf, 2 cloves, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tbsp fresh cream and 1 tbsp kasuri methi.
