Eggless chickpea waffle
 

  1. To make the eggless chickpea waffles recipe, put the soaked and drained kabuli chana in a mixer jar and blend to a coarse paste.
  2. Transfer to a deep bowl. Add chopped mint leaves, semolina, urad dal flour, curd, chopped green chillies, crushed cumin seeds, salt and ½ cup of water. Mix well.
  3. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Add more ½ cup of water and mix well.

  1. Pre-heat the waffle iron till red hot.
  2. Add the fruit salt to the batter and sprinkle 2 tsp of water over it. When the bubbles form, mix gently.
  3. Divide the batter into 7 equal portions.
  4. Lightly grease the waffle iron with 1 tsp of oil and pour one portion of the batter into each of the 2 moulds, cover and cook for 8 minutes or till the waffle is crisp and golden brown from both the sides.
  5. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 5 more waffles.

Waffles using Chickpeas..WOW!!...combo of chickpea and mint makes a lovely breakfast...its little time consuming..but the end product is just amazing...full of fibre and vitamins...
