This recipe used to be slightly different. You added onions and ginger to the dal and after it pressured cooked, you could add milk. Do you have a link to the recipe the way it used to be posted? It probably wasn''t really amritsari but it was a delicious dal!

Tarla Dalal    Hi, This recipe is a very subtle in taste.. if milk added it will become similar to dal makhani.Ideally it is a slow cooked dal.. if you can cook the dal in and simmer them for longer in a heavy bottomed pan. It will give you better taste.. Do try the recipe and give us your feedback..

Lovely recipe, I make it regularly. The nutrient values on the picture are VERY incorrect tho if this recipe is for 4 portions
