Ingredients
To Be Mixed Into A Spread
- 3/4 cup grated low fat paneer (cottage cheese)
- 2 tbsp thick low fat curds (dahi)
- 1 1/2 tbsp blanched and finely chopped celery (ajmoda) stalks
- 1/4 tsp finely chopped green chillies
Other Ingredients
- 4 whole wheat bread slices
- 2 tsp low fat butter
For The Garnish
- a sprig of coriander (dhania)
- 4 stuffed olives , cut into roundels
Method
Handy tip
- You may alternatively toast the bread slices in a toaster and then butter them.
- Divide the spread into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
- Trim the edges of the bread slices, apply ½ tsp of butter on both sides of each slice and cook them on a non-stick tava (griddle) till both the sides are lightly brown in colour.
- Spread a portion of the spread on one side of each bread slice and cut each slice into 4 squares. Serve immediately garnished with coriander and pitted olives.
