Corn bhel is a variation to the classic Indian bhel puri recipe! Here, we have replaced puffed rice with corn kernels. The corn chaat is super quick and easy to make, prepare corn bhel for your family as an evening snack or as a side dish with a meal!

To make corn bhel recipe we have combined boiled corn kernels with onions, de-seeded and chopped tomatoes, pomegranate which provides crunch, green chutney, sweet chutney, chaat masala to enhance the flavours and lemon juice for tanginess! Next, add chili powder, you can even add chopped green chilies if you want it spicier! Add raw mango and coriander followed by crushed papdi and mix everything well and our corn bhel is ready to be served!!

We are using fresh corn kernels but, you can use frozen or canned corn kernels depending upon the availability.

To prepare the fresh corn bhel, in a deep bowl, take 2 cups cooked sweet corn kernels. If using fresh corn then remove the kernels from the knob. Add chopped onions. If you are jain then skip adding them.

Next, add the finely chopped tomatoes. Before adding, we have deseeded them which is totally optional.

Add the pomegranate. They not only provide a pleasant sweetness to the corn bhel but, also add a nice crunch.

Add the chaat masala and lemon juice. It provides a tangy flavor to the corn bhel.

Add the chilli powder. Also, you can add finely chopped green chillies if you want spicier. Adjust the quantity as per your preference, skip adding if making for kids.
