A truly comforting drink when you are feeling low.
Method- Soak the masoor dal for 1 hour.
- Heat the oil and fry the onion and bay leaves for 2 minutes.
- Add the masoor dal and chopped vegetables other than tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add 6 teacups of water and cook covered on a slow flame for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and boil for a few seconds.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper and serve hot.
