Description

Dry refers to the level of sugar found in the wine itself. Red wines that have a dry level of sugar (below 1 gram per liter) are classified as dried red wines. When the red wine is fermenting, the yeast is eating all of the sugar until there is little or none left. So, Dried Red wine has a very tiny amount of residual sugar.

How to select

All red table wines you find in the store on the shelf are always dry. They are available under various brand names. Always choose the dry red wine according to the food to be served with and your favourite flavour characteristic such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz/Syrah, Zinfandel, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc.

Culinary Uses

· Dry Red wine is served with main courses like leg of lamb, chicken breasts or turkey.
· Use to add flavor to sauces and for deglazing and marinating.
· It can also be added to steaks, roasts and stews.
· Mostly red wine is paired with red meats.

How to store

Dry Red wine should be stored in its bottle, tightly closed and refrigerated for years since it gets better with ageing.
