Can I replace fruit salt with baking soda? Also please let me know if it is possible to make the dhokla in an oven instead of steamer. If so, please let me know the best temperature and amount of time to be kept in oven

Tarla Dalal    Dhanalakshmi, We would not suggest to replace fruit salt with baking soda as the softness will not come. We prefer you steam in a steamer as they are more softer and can be enjoyed few hours after steaming while if you cook in a microwave they will have to be served immediately. as they become very dry.

Tarla Dalal    Hi Zeenat, Eno is important for dhokla as it will give softness and fluffiness to this recipe, we would not suggest to omit it
