Can I only use sugar in place of condensed milk

Hi, This is a query. Please help me with: 1. Can''t we use condensed milk like Amul Mithai mate / milkmaid only instead of milk powder and normal milk? 2. Pls give tips on how to unmould? (I have never done / seen it before). 3. Can we put the sticks inside to hold the kulfi? When to put these? Thanks.

Tarla Dalal    Hi Payal, 1. Condensed milk is already in the recipe and do not omit the milk powder as it makes it creamy and also makes it thicker. 2. remove the kulfi after set from the freezer, wait for 5 minutes, put a tick in it and pull it lightly.

yummm...kids loved it so much they couldn't wait to set the kulfi. Very delicious and easy to make...I enjoyed making kulfi at home during summer days...thanks!

Excellent taste and so very irresistable. But I had choosen to give 4 stars because 15 mins of the cooking time stated in the recipe is not correct. It takes longer than that around 40 mins to cook. Secondly the quantity of sugar could be reduced if mango is very sweet.

have tried it and trust me its anytime better than the kulfis we get at the icecream parlours....and also the quality assured as we make it ourselves...its a sure shot summer treat for my family.
