khichdi turned Awesome but i added asafoetida along with peppercorns which is not mentioned in recepie any reason not adding hing?

Jab mein bimaar tha, mummy ko yeh kichdi banane ko kaha. Khane si maan haat gaya tho. Lekin yeh kichdi khakaar fresh ho gaya.

This khichdi is very easy to make and very light. I eat this with curds and it taste yummm....
