I''ve read and heard NEVER to use/mix Dal with Yogourt in Ayurveda and also a famous personality had been promoting HEALTHY Eating.

Tarla Dalal Here we have added curds for additional flavour since the recipe is oil-free, however you can avoid the curds if you practice ayurvedic principles.

Real comfort food, and very easy and good. Great for a weeknight. I added some chopped, canned tomatoes and roasted red bell peppers (capsicums), which was delicious.

A good combination of dal with curds... Will try the same recipe with yellow moong dal also. I think that will taste equally good.
