Hi Tarla, Your web site is fantastic, I use it frequently. I am going to try this recipe today :-). Instead of milk could I use Almond Milk? Instead of peanuts could I use soaked pealed almond? If yes do I need to roast the pealed almonds? Instead of sugar could I use Jaggary Thank you.

Tarla Dalal    Milk is only 1 tbsp and is used to make extra soft. It can be avoided. Sugar too can be avoided. Using peanut is authentic, but if you wish you can use almonds.

Just want to clear my doubt that adding milk after sprinkling the lemon juice . Doesn''t that cuddle the milk ??

Tarla Dalal    Hi Prateek, milk gets absorbed in the Poha and gives it a nice mouthfeel. Thus, lemon juice has no effect on milk.
