I don''t see water or any liquid in the recipe as one has to use liquid in order to form a dough. Please explain why the liquid is left out.

Tarla Dalal    Thank you for your feedback. Step 1 has a mention about using hot water to knead the dough. Keep reviewing recipes and articles you loved.

Great recipe, thanks for this. I have a doubt , why are we cooking it on the tawa first and then baking it . Could we not bake it directly while skipping the tawa bit?

Tarla Dalal    Cooking on tava initially helps to speeden up the cooking process. If you wish you can avoid this step and adjust the baking time accordingly.

Should I bake it in the top rack or middle rack?

This recipe is made using less maize flour and more wheat flour but the taste is quite satisfying. Baking gives it the perfect crispness... My father loved it and I am happy that though he is a diabetic he can now indulge in this snack occasionally.
