I tried this recipe but my chakli either got too soft or extremely hard....

Tarla Dalal    It gets too soft when the oil is extra hot and it hardens if the butter is less or it is not at room temperature. Also, when compared to rice flour chakli, this bajra chakli is slightly hard.
