Ingredients

For Carrot and Coriander Roti
1/2 cup grated carrot
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1/4 cup rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1/4 cup soy flour
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi)
salt to taste
1 tsp oil
rice flour (chawal ka atta) for rolling
oil for cooking

  1. To make carrot coriander roti, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough warm water.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion into a circle of 100 mm. (4”) diameter, using a little rice flour for rolling.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each roti, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides.
  4. Serve the carrot coriander roti immediately.

  6. Add a pinch of turmeric powder (haldi).
  7. Add salt to taste. We added 1/4 tsp salt.
  8. Add 1 tsp oil.
  9. Add enough water to make a soft dough. We added 1 1/2 tablespoon water. 
  10. Knead into a soft dough.

  1. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
  2. Dust the rolling board with a little rice flour.
  3. Flatten the dough and dust it.
  4. Roll out a portion of the dough into a 100 mm. (4") diameter circle using a little rice flour for rolling.
  5. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it will little oil.
  6. Place the paratha gently on the tava.  
  7. Cook roti for 30 to 45 seconds on a medium flame. 
  8. Grease the top of the paratha with oil. 
  9. Flip over.
  10. Cook the other side the same way and use a spatula to press down to cook paratha evenly. 
  11. Flip and cook till golden brown. Your paratha is ready. 
  12. Place carrot coriander roti | gluten free carrot coriander paratha | carrot coriander with rice flour | on a serving plate.
