Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook each roti, using a little oil, till it turns golden brown in colour from both sides. Serve immediately.

Bejar ki roti is a traditional rajasthani bread enjoyed hot with a subzi made of veggies or paneer. It is spiced mildly with cumin seeds, green chilli paste and coriander leaves, making it a versatile roti suitable for serving with various kinds of subzis. It can be served with dal or kadhi.

  7. Add salt to taste.
  8. Add enough lukewarm water to make a soft dough. We have used 1/2 cup of water.
  9. Knead into a soft dough.
  10. Roll the dough into a rope shape. This makes it easy to divide the dough into equal parts.

  2. Dust a rolling board with whole wheat flour.
  3. Flatten the dough ball with your palms and place on the board for rolling.
  4. Roll out each portion into a circle of 125 mm. (5”) diameter, using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
  5. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook the  roti without oil for 10 seconds.
  6. Flip over after cooking for a little bit.
  7. Now brush some oil on the cooked surface top as we going to flip over and cook.
