Potato roti is made with potatoes, coriander, spices and ghee tossed into the dough. Use 2 tablespoons water and knead into a soft aloo roti dough. The potato roti made with plain flour is then cooked on a non stick tawa or griddle till golden brown in colour.

2. Plain flour : We have used half cup for 6 rotis. Plain flour is a refined food which you don't want as part of your diet. Always try and use whole wheat flour, jowar flour or bajra flour as they are healthy and good for diabetics and heart patients. 

3. Ghee and oil for cooking : The fat levels are acceptable per roti. Ghee is also loaded with butyrate which has proven to improve gut health. 

 

So, potato roti gets a NO for healthy food. Problem is with the potatoes and plain flour.
