Jowar Upma
Reviewed October 28, 2014by n_katira

A traditional twist to the famous South Indian snack.... I had never thought of making upma using jowar flour...but believe me it tastes just the same as regular rava upma... My family members didn't realize it's made with jowar flour until I mentioned it...great recipe...

Vitamin A rich soup for sparkling eyes....The sweetness of carrots is the most important flavour of this soup....Made without the use of oil, it's perfect for weight watchers....

Cucumber Raita ( Low Calorie Healthy Cooking )

Excellent recipe for weight watchers...I liked the idea of tempering the grated cucumber...it adds a good flavour...however those on extreme weight loss diet can always opt for plain cucumber raita..

Khatti Mithi Dal with Vegetables ( Low Calorie Healthy Cooking )
Reviewed October 28, 2014by n_katira

It's a dal but due to the addition of loads of fibre rich veggies, when it's paired with whole wheat chapatis, a small portion of brown rice and raita makes a healthy meal by itself.

Moong Dal Dhoklas ( Low Calorie Healthy Cooking )
Reviewed October 28, 2014by n_katira

A great low cal snack with the goodness of iron rich fenugreek leaves, cabbage and carrot. Made with the use of just 1/2 tsp of fruit salt, the dhoklas fluffed really well.

Soft, melt in mouth tikkis, which tastes truly awesome with green chutney. Flavoured with mint leaves and mildly from garlic, these tikkis can be made in a jiffy once the chick peas have been boiled.

Strawberry Honey Milkshake
Reviewed October 11, 2014by n_katira

honey gives a good flavourful twist to the regular strawberry milkshake... I tried substituting bananas for strawberries and that turned out fab too..

Banana Apple Smoothie
Reviewed October 11, 2014by n_katira

Banana and apple combined in a smoothie with a tinge of lemon juice to balance the flavours...do not make this drink too much in advance as banana tend to turn black quickly and might decrease the flavour and eye appeal of the drink.

Black Grape Smoothie
Reviewed October 11, 2014by n_katira

A very satiating drink made with a combo of black grapes and curds....do try when black grapes are in season...this drink can be made in advance and refrigerated, hence can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
